Tips for a safer home

Always choose cordless or motorised blinds if you can, but if you are considering corded options, make sure:

  • Any cord loops are secured properly with chain tensioners.
  • You opt for corded blinds that come with built in safety features like chain tensioners, child safety release mechanisms which are standard in our corded blinds.
  • You try to help educate others about window covering safety, making sure your family, friends and neighbours are aware of the potential risks.
  • You don’t place babies’ cots or kids’ beds near your windows to minimise any risk from corded blinds.
  • You inspect your installed blinds regularly, check for any wear and tear or loose parts and maintain these for continued safety. Contact the manufacturer to replace any parts or upgrade your window treatments.
