We would like to update you on our Shutter and Blind supply and also on the protocols we have in place with our sales and installation team to ensure we are visiting your home and leaving you virus Santa Fe are fortunate to be purchasing our shutters and blinds from the largest manufacturer in China and we are pleased to announce that the Norman Shutter and Blind factory where all of our shutters and blinds are manufactured was only closed for 1 week longer than their planned Chinese New Year closedown and have now been manufacturing for 4 weeks. We are now back to 100% staff capacity in all blind manufacturing and 80% in our shutter manufacturing.
We have 3 containers on the water and have weekly containers booked to leave the factory. We also have weekly airfreight orders arriving with our Norman Venetians and Norman Thermacell Blinds. They are still working to clear the backlog at the factory so shutter orders are taking 8-9 weeks from the time we can complete a final measure to installation date. As each day goes by, we are decreasing the backlog and expect to be back to our standard lead time of 6-7 weeks by mid April.
Our Deluxe range of roller blinds and Venetian blinds are manufactured in Tauranga. These do not have any delays are normally ready for installation 3 weeks after your final measure is completed.
We will continue to monitor the situation and let you know if anything changes. If you have any questions about an order you have already ordered or are wanting to confirm then please call us directly.
All staff have been advised that they are not to book quotes or installations if they are feeling unwell. If you have had a booking made by someone who is feeling unwell then we will book you with another sales person or installer at your earliest convenience.
Thoroughly cleaning our work surfaces in your home.
We are taking extra steps to ensure we leave your home as “virus free” as we found it. We will sanitise any surface we are in contact with after we complete your measure or installation with a new Chux cloth and strong disinfectant product. Please let us know if you have any aversion to us using these products in your home. Our staff are equipped with kits to complete this process.
